Events At Central Arizona College

Central Arizona College is offering an array of events for the upcoming 2019-2020 Holiday Season. You can purchase your tickets online at CAC’s events website EventsAtCAC.com.  You can also buy them at the Pence Center Ticket Office at Signal Peak Campus Mondays through Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.   Don’t miss out on these unforgettable events and performances.

SIGNAL PEAK

Choral & Handbell Choir Concert.  Central Arizona College’s vocal and handbell choir is offering a free concert on December 8th from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. to start off your holiday season. Bring your family and friends to hear a variety of musical styles made from the choral and handbell choir.

Premier Concert 2: Holiday Hoedown.  John Montgomery and AZ Wildflower Band will perform some of the best Country Gospel Music on December 19th from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The proceeds will go to Central Arizona College’s Rodeo Team. If this event is your first rodeo, buy tickets ahead of time; tickets cost $22. Get ready to saddle, straddle, and to do the Hoedown Throwdown.

Women’s Basketball Ugly Sweater Annual Bash.  On December 13th at 5 p.m. the Women’s Basketball Team has set up a fundraising event filled with holiday fun. Ticket prices are $50; the price will include food, dancing, and prizes. You can purchase tickets through the Basketball Players and Coaches or call/text (520)-661-9629.

The Nutcracker.  A holiday tradition at Central Arizona College, The Nutcracker will be hosted by The Studio to tell the story about a young girl’s journey with her enchanted nutcracker through the Land of Sweets. The performance has two showings: at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. on December 14th.  The cost of tickets ranges from $12 to $15. Premier Concert 3: New Christy Minstrels.  Listen to some folk music classics performed by the New Christy Minstrels on January 12th from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets prices are $22 and can be found on Central Arizona College’s events website.

Premier Concert 4: New Shanghai Circus.  On January 23rd from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. “The Acrobats of China” will be performing at Central Arizona College. The performance is known for its bright-colored designs and unbelievable acrobatics that perform classic Chinese dance. Ticket Prices are $22. SUPERSTITION MOUNTAIN

All Aboard! Open House & Movie Night. Superstition Mountain’s Campus will hold an open house and movie night on December 3rd from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Get into your comfiest attire to attend the showing of The Polar Express movie which will begin at 7 p.m. There will be free hot chocolate and popcorn. It will also be the perfect time to get information, demonstrations, and a Q&A about campus.

Fall Math Boot Camp Placement Test Prep.  The Mathematics Division will offer Math Boot Camps on December 9th – 12th to help improve your math knowledge & skills so you are confident enough for the Accuplacer Test. Math Boot Camp will improve your chances of testing out of developmental math classes, so you can save both time and money. It will go on from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with a one-hour break for lunch each day of the Boot Camp. To learn how to sign up and for other questions, contact Heonmi Kim at 520-494-5051.

Community Chess Club.  The Chess Club will meet every Thursday at 4 p.m. in Room C116. It is a great time to learn how to play chess or practice your skills on your chess strategies. You can bring your younger family members that are 8 years or older. Be sure to chaperone children younger than 16 years old.
