Don’t Buy the iPhone 11 Pro Just Yet

The iPhone 11 Pro is a phone that has improved on all fronts compared to the iPhone XS, but the price is much higher than the competition. In the smartphone industry, phones ranging from the OnePlus 7 Pro to the Google Pixel 4 show great value that are suited well for most smartphone users.

Starting at $1,000, the iPhone 11 Pro has a gorgeous display and a great battery life. It is fast and runs iOS. It features main, wide-angle, and portrait cameras on the back of the phone. However, while these cameras work as advertised, so does the OnePlus 7 Pro’s at a fraction of the cost.

At $700, the OnePlus 7 Pro gives you a larger battery and a built-in-display fingerprint scanner. The whole front of the screen is the display, and the motorized front camera pops up from the top. It also comes with their “Warp Charger” that claims to charge your phone to 50% in 30 minutes.

However, one problem buyers may have is availability. The OnePlus 7 Pro is only available on T-Mobile and Sprint in the U.S.

At $800, the Google Pixel 4 is on all large carriers including Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, and AT&T.  It has features similar to the iPhone 11 Pro, such as a simpler interface and a really fast processor. One possible drawback is the lack of a wide-angle lens. The Verge, a popular technology media network, gave their first impressions on the battle between the main cameras. Senior Editor Tom Warren stated, “Apple’s iPhone 11 Pro consistently looks more saturated with cooler tones, while the Pixel 4 opts for contrast in most shots and often looks warmer as a result.”

You can’t really lose with either options, but if you really like your previous iPhone then there is one more option.

The barebones iPhone 11 is different from the Pro model in a few ways. The lack of an OLED display means the colors will be less accurate. It includes a smaller battery and is missing the wide-angle lens. On the bright side, the price is lower at $700. You’re getting the same software, along with the main and portrait cameras.

If you are on the market for a new phone, consider these options and choose the one that fits your needs. Note that most main carriers have deals running on these phones all the time, so be on the lookout to spend less money for the best product.
