The Business Club was able to send seven members and our two advisors to Washington D.C for the International Career Development Conference in the Spring semester of 2014. There were colleges from all over the U.S, South America, Guam and Canada. The students were able to explore the capital during the time away from preparing for competition and workshops. This was the perfect opportunity to network with students who will be leaders in the business fields of hospitality and culinary, business and finance, sports entertainment and marketing, management and entrepreneurship, as well as fashion merchandising and retail.

This year the club hopes to go to the Phi Beta Lambda International Conference which will be held in Chicago, IL in the spring.  Being a member opens a lot of opportunities for students such as monthly business tours of Edward Jones, Go Daddy, Amazon, etc. We have also started our own on campus monthly workplace workshops that are held every month in M101, upcoming workshops are: Men’s Wearhouse Dress for Success Oct. 22nd from 3pm-4pm and Personal Money Management on Nov. 12th from 3pm-4pm.

The workshops help improve students’ skills in the workplace and they are free and open to all students, not just members, and will be held both Fall and Spring semester.
We attend two leadership conferences in the fall and two state in the spring semesters, this year we will be hosting a winter leadership conference at Superstition Mountain Campus in February. The schools that will be attending include ASU, U of A, Embry Riddle, Devry, Phoenix College, Eastern Arizona, and more.

We are always looking for more members in many areas such as; computer science, business, finance and accounting, criminal justice, public speaking, hotel and restaurant management, culinary, marketing, etc. We have meetings at all campuses Maricopa Campus in room B115, Superstition Mountain Campus in room C105, Signal Pear Campus in room T214 and the San Tan Campus in room C127 these meetings are held on the first and third Wednesday of every month from 3:30PM – 4:30PM}
