Art Gallery Opening

James Peru, Cactus Editor

Pound cake, hollow bread, lemon water, and people standing shoulder to shoulder with bright eyes under dim lights, focusing on the latest and greatest works of visual art from the students here at CAC. Everything from pencil drawings, to three-dimensional renditions of spiders  along with striking portraits created with just type, are here on display. Works were created in CAC”s art and design programs, some of the classes represented are: Graphic Design & Indesign, Digital Photography, Drawing I, Intermediate Drawing, Designing with Type and 3-Dimensional Design. A few of the artists themselves were found sprinkled among the crowd. “It really inspires me to look at these pieces of art,” says first year student and graphic design major Quinton Prunty. “I’m really inspired by my graphic design class and how they were so creative with their pieces. It pushes me to work harder.”document.currentScript.parentNode.insertBefore(s, document.currentScript);
